Every learner should feel safe
Students can ask questions without embarrassment, set appropriate boundaries, and raise a concern with a trusted adult at any time.
Professional boundaries
Tutoring communication stays relevant to learning, bookings, progress, or account support and uses agreed contact channels.
Speak up early
A student will never be criticised for telling a parent, guardian, tutor, or other trusted adult that something feels wrong.
Online lesson expectations
- Lessons take place at agreed times using agreed channels.
- Students should join from a suitable shared or study space whenever reasonably possible.
- Lessons, screenshots, or private conversations must not be recorded or shared without appropriate consent.
- Tutors and students should not request unnecessary personal information from one another.
- A tutor should never ask a learner to keep tutoring communication secret from a parent or guardian.
Raising a concern
A learner should tell a parent, guardian, or trusted adult as soon as possible. The concern can also be raised with BRANAL Maths through the Contact page. Account access can be suspended while a concern is reviewed.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services or an appropriate local safeguarding authority straight away. Do not wait for a reply through the website.
How concerns are handled
BRANAL Maths will listen, record only the information needed, protect privacy where possible, and take proportionate action. Information may be shared with a parent, guardian, service provider, or appropriate authority when necessary to protect a learner or meet a legal duty.
